Le Cuir Perdu
Luisella Da Rold is a pure creative, loves art, design, vintage, nature and animals. She lived for many years in Milan painting in her bohemian house near Corso Como. In 2000, for love, she moved to Bologna, where she began her journey in fashion. In 2008 she launched Da Rold Le Cuir Perdu, meaning The Lost Leather, in an artistic atelier in the center of Bologna where the atmosphere is retro, sophisticated and artisanal. Luisella does not draw, her creations are all made on mannequin, assembling precious and natural materials such as leather, hemp, silk, organza, reptiles. Inspired by theatrical garments, in the Baroque style, he studied military garments from the 1940s to make special garments, with attention to distinctive details. Loving vintage, she chooses to make garment dyed and raw cut, very long and difficult processing procedures, but with special results ... in fact the raw cut requires to be finished by hand, with scissors. Then adding the embroidery before dyeing the garment, with various dyeing techniques, hot and cold and immersion, to give a very special lived appearance. The result is unique, luxurious and refined. The fit is feminine, sexy and harmonious. The finishes, strictly by hand, give the garment an haute couture feel. All the creations of this artist are limited editions and made entirely in Italy.
