What began as a game was transformed into the creation of leather garments for Giacomo Zanellati and soon, and in a completely natural way, became the subject of the future business with the establishment in 1998 of the brand SWORD 6.6.44. The name carries with it a playful and dreamlike implicit reference to the Normandy invasion aimed at referring to the “landing” of the young designer in the fashion world. A very precise identity and philosophy: every garment made has a soul and the personal and expressive element reveals, through the art of manufacturing, the different moments in life. Since 2014, SWORD 6.6.44 also made a social commitment in collaboration with Venenta, the Italian Cooperative that supports single women and single mothers, living with hardships and difficulties. A selection of garments produced by SWORD 6.6.44 is hand painted and customized by mothers of the community, sometimes inspired by drawings made by their children.
